Management Team

Dr Mesfin Assefa

Prior to joining the AME Group, Dr Mesfin was the Deputy CEO of TUMSA Endowment (our Joint Venture partner) and sits on the board of Kenticha Mining Plc – hence has a strong understanding of the issues for Kenticha.
He is formerly a Mayor of one of the Municipalities and previously worked in the Prime Minister’s office.
Dr Mesfin holds a PhD in Urban and Regional planning, MA in Urban Management and an LLB from the University of Ethiopia.

Warwick Bullen

Warwick is an economic geologist with over 25 years’ experience in Canada, Europe and across Africa, with experience working within the Arabian-Nubian Shield. Previously he was Exploration Geologist at Lega Dembi in Ethiopia, where he led the mineral resource assessment program for the Sakaro gold deposit.

Tristan Jenkins

Tristan is a chartered accountant with 20 years of experience across multinationals, FTSE250, AIM and ASX listed companies. He has worked in the energy sector for 15 years in companies focused on Africa, Asia, Europe and Australia. He has a background in developing finance functions, with a focus on financial planning and analysis, financial reporting, risk and controls and supporting corporate finance transactions.

He is a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and holds a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Accounting, Finance and Economics.

Anthony Eastman

Anthony is a Chartered Accountant with over 15 years’ experience in financial management and corporate advisory services, primarily in the natural resources sector, along with experience in the public company environment, having been a director and company secretary of a number of ASX and AIM junior mining and oil & gas focused companies. Anthony has previously worked with Ernst & Young and CalEnergy Gas Ltd, in both Australia and the United Kingdom.

Sarah Campbell
Sarah Campbell

Sarah has 20 years’ experience in mineral processing from; feasibility, piloting, design, construction, commissioning and optimisation of gold and copper-gold processing plants, gravity gold intensive cyanidation, comminution circuits and lithium brine processing.
Her global operational mining experience across multiple commodities includes Australia, East and West Africa, Southeast and Central Asia and Argentina.
Sarah has worked for both mining and OEM companies in a technical, design, analytical, managerial and sales capacity. She is a comminution expert, with extensive experience in the analysis of SAG and Ball mill liner design, wear and operation.

Sammy Million

Sammy has over 10 years’ experience in communications and public affairs disciplines, including stakeholder management, government relations, strategic communications, and policy analysis in the UK and Africa. He has previously held positions with Embassy of Ethiopia in London and with the Office of the Prime Minister in Ethiopia, providing guidance and support in foreign direct investment.

Bruce Medhurst

Bruce has over 30 years’ drilling experience across Africa, from senior driller to operations manager. Previously he was the operations manager for Stanley Mining Services (Tanzania) Ltd in East Africa. Bruce has worked in Ethiopia for over 7 years, and has developed significant relationships with non-government organisations, local partners, and government agencies.
